Special Guest Chef from Mexico to Join Four Seasons Resort Orlando for Casa Dragones Tequila Pairing Dinner

Tequila and Mexican food lovers are in for a treat on Saturday, May 28, 2016, when Four Seasons Resort Orlando joins forces with acclaimed Mexican Chef Lula Martin del Campo and Casa Dragones Joven Tequila for a gourmet tequila pairing dinner. Chef Lula will cook alongside Samuel Faggetti, Executive Sous Chef for Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort.

The five-course menu will be served at Plancha, the Resort’s lakeside Cuban American restaurant at the Tranquilo Golf Clubhouse. The evening will begin with a reception at 6:30 pm and seated dinner at 7:00 pm.

The menu includes:

  • Orange/achiote fish ceviche by Chef Lula
  • Tequila granita by Executive Sous Chef Samuel Faggetti
  • Green tomatillo and mushroom soup by Chef Lula
  • Steak crusted with ashes and cotija cheese sauce by Chef Lula; or yellowtail snapper with chayote and embrued onions by Executive Sous Chef Samuel Faggetti
  • Corn brûlée dessert by Chef Lula

The full dinner will be paired with Casa Dragones Joven, a 100 percent blue agave Joven tequila. This master blend of silver tequila and extra aged tequila, rested in new American oak barrels for five years, lends a complex, smooth taste that is perfect for sipping and pairing with food.

Chef Lula was born in Mexico City and opened her first restaurant in 1995. She was executive chef for Grupo Habita, a renowned company of boutique hotels in Mexico, and is currently executive chef for HSBC Bank in Mexico City. In addition, Chef Lula is owner of two restaurants: ROCA in Las Lomas and CARBON, located in the Mercado Roma district of Mexico City.
