With a month until the first MYBA Pop-Up Superyacht Show Montenegro, the programme has been released for the event. Alongside an impressive line-up of yachts, participants will have access to a series of evening social events and seminar programme.

The event’s three-day programme will begin on the 4th September. Each day along Porto Montenegro’s prestigious Jetty One, international brokers and agents will be invited to explore the yachts (20m+) on display. Saturday and Sunday will both start with a breakfast seminar, and finish respectively with a dock party and the official closing party at the new Porto Montenegro Yacht Club.

The MYBA Pop-Up Superyacht Show is a new B2B superyacht event (4th-6th September), bringing together international brokers, agents and yachts to discover the developing infrastructure and exceptional cruising grounds of Montenegro and the surrounding region.

Throughout the event brokers, captains and press will be invited to take a private tour of the marina to gain a deeper understanding of its developing infrastructure. Before yachts and brokers depart on Monday 7th, there will also be the opportunity to enjoy a day on the bay with organised familiarisation trips and cultural excursions.

“The event is shaping up well with brokers and yachts in attendance from industry leading brands such as Edmiston, Northrop and Johnson, Camper and Nicholsons and Burgess. We’re looking forward to hosting everyone here in Montenegro and showcasing the best of what the Adriatic has to offer,” explains Billy Canellas, Porto Montenegro’s Marina Business Development Manager.

Over the last few years, Montenegro has become the new superyacht hotspot of the Mediterranean. Its yacht-friendly legislation, outside EU tax benefits and rapidly growing infrastructure has superyachts flocking year-round to use this advantageous charter base and explore the 4000+ islands which line the coast from Croatia to Greece.

James Graham-Cloete, MYBA Board Member and Chair of the MYBA Charter Boat Shows Panel, continues, “As we get closer to the show dates, registrations of yachts and brokers are gaining momentum and it is looking like being a great first show. Brokers are excited to inspect yachts based in the region and to discover the many wonderful things that Montenegro has to offer them and their clients.”

Porto Montenegro’s state-of-the-art facilities will provide the ideal stage for the very first event of its kind in the region, where international brokers, agents and yachts will have the opportunity to connect and do business in one of the world’s most spectacular cruising grounds.

Porto Montenegro is the Mediterranean’s leading luxury yacht homeport and marina village. The state-of-the-art facility has been designed to cater to the advanced needs of all yachts, their owners, guests and crew with specific infrastructure for the largest yachts afloat. The marina currently has 460 berths, 200 sold-out luxury apartments, as well as over 60 units of ground floor retail made up of restaurants, bars, cafes, shops and amenities.

Montenegro continues to be the fastest growing travel and tourism economy in the world. Leading this growth is Montenegro’s elite tourism strategy, which provides yacht friendly legislation and some of the most favourable tax benefits in Europe – a powerful financial case for basing a yacht here all year round.

• 9% company and capital gains tax (one of the lowest rates in Europe)
• Only 7% VAT on marine-related services
• 0% VAT on charters
• Tax and duty-free fuel (45% cheaper than retail price)
• Outside EU tax and import regulations
• No restriction to pick-up and drop-off
• Make multiple changes to guest and crew manifests
• Ability for foreign yachts to remain in Montenegrin waters with no restriction on time

Served by three international airports – the nearest, just 7 kilometres from Porto Montenegro – Montenegro is also within an easy three hour flight of most European capitals and has direct flights from London, Nice, Moscow, Paris, Barcelona and Madrid, among others.

The inaugural MYBA Pop-Up Superyacht Show is set to take place in Montenegro from 4th to 6th September 2015.
